While browsing instagram I came across a florist that did the most beautiful, moody flower bouquets. The stylist often photographed them with a black background. last fall we collaborated to create this painting, and I named it after their Floral Studio "Foxglove Studio" in Calgary, AB
Not all my paintings come from a place of joy and peace. Because it is often how I process life, you see into moments of exploration, discovery and loss.
As I move into a new season of life, I needed the assurance of peace. The hope that our decisions are good ones, and that in the end we will find joy in our new surroundings. "Held" came out of that.
