About this piece
Aspen Gathering was inspired by the stand of aspens along the hillside coming up from Sahali Terrace, where trunks cluster together in warm, shifting light. The painting reflects the quiet strength of being held in proximity—individual forms standing together, shaped by the same terrain and season. Soft yellows and pale neutrals echo the warmth and familiarity of the Kamloops landscape in transition.
About the Homecoming Collection
The Homecoming collection was created in response to the landscapes surrounding Kamloops and Sun Peaks, and to the experience of moving through a home shaped by light, land, and arrival. The works are released gradually, one at a time, mirroring the way the collection was created.
The collection is organized into three tiers—Collectors Works, Core Works, and Hero Works—reflecting scale, placement, and role within the home.

This painting is a Core Work, developed to bring warmth and continuity through the home. Core Works like Aspen Gathering help soften transitions between rooms while maintaining a steady visual rhythm across the collection.

Framing for the Homecoming collection is provided in partnership with Preferred Framing, Kamloops. Each work is presented in a simple, high-quality wood floater frame selected for visual consistency and long-term durability.
Community Partnership
A portion of proceeds from the Homecoming collection supports the Kamloops YMCA through the annual YMCA Showhome initiative.
Display & Delivery
This artwork is currently on display as part of the YMCA Showhome and will remain installed until the close of the exhibition. Following the show, the artwork will be professionally packaged. Insured shipping or local pickup from the artist’s studio in Kamloops is available by prior arrangement.
